Blackberry Jam 285 g (65% Fruit)

EMKA-2XWQQW Currently 74 people viewing

POL'S Blackberry Jam is made from the darkest and least acidic of the berries. Blackberry does not carry the sharp acidity of raspberry; it offers a deeper, faintly earthy aroma instead. The 65% fruit ratio keeps that aroma from disappearing under sugar.

That character takes the product beyond breakfast. Low-acid, dark-flavoured preserves are a classic match for mature and salty cheeses — goat's cheese, blue cheese and aged kashar are all served with this style. Its deep purple also sets up a visual contrast on a cheese board.

Wholesale Ordering & Storage

Where a venue serves cheese boards, preserve consumption runs independently of breakfast; the order plan should be built on the sum of both uses. Store in a cool, dry place. After opening, keep sealed and refrigerated.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is it paired with cheese?

It works with salty, mature cheeses: goat's cheese, blue cheese and aged kashar. Serve it in a small bowl at the edge of the board rather than spread onto the cheese.

How does it differ from raspberry jam?

Blackberry is lower in acid and darker in flavour; raspberry is sharper and brighter. Raspberry leads in dessert presentation, blackberry in savoury pairings.

Does the colour darken over time?

An opened jar may darken slightly at the surface through contact with air; this is not spoilage. Keeping it sealed and refrigerated slows it.
